Minnow Media receives two Emmy nominations in the Midsouth Region
for 2009

In the category of Documentary: Topical, Minnow Media and our partners at the Wildacres Leadership Initiative and UNC-TV are nominated for a Midsouth Regional Emmy to be announced on January 30, 2010 at ceremonies to be held in Nashville, TN. The nominated documentary is "Coming Out ~ Coming In: Faith, Identity and Belonging" and was initiated by four members of the William C. Friday Fellowship--Susan Acker-Waslh, Andy Baxter, Rev. Laurie Hays Coffman, and Keith Martin. The program gives voice to gay Christians attempting to reconcile their faith with the traditional teachings of mainline Prostestant churches against same sex relationships.

Minnow Media and our colleagues at
UNC--TV are also nominated for an Emmy in the category of Audio for our work on the videotaped stage production of "Good Ol' Girls," produced at Cape Fear Regional Theater and now being broadcast regionally on public televisions stations through the National Educational Telecommunications Association. Mark Williams, Karen Pearce, Rusty Knot and Georgann Eubanks worked on the audio portion of the project.

The Midsouth Region encompasses the states of North Carolina (except Asheville) and Tennessee, and includes the television market of Huntsville, AL. Emmy is a registered trademark of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
