NANCY TOM completed a master’s degree in Intercultural Relations at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA, and returned to North Carolina where she has served as associate producer on the NC Gives project, highlighting philanthropy in North Carolina as practiced by women, youth and people of color. Nancy is also a freelance facilitator and trainer for groups.

Nancy is a longtime associate. She worked with Minnow Media as a production assistant in high school. As a student at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, she majored in Communications Studies and worked part-time with Minnow-- logging tapes, arranging interviews and assisting in the field production for Something In Common, Hard Rain, Higher Ground, and Faces From the Flood. Nancy also helped to produce a short series about Chinese Americans for NC public television's nightly news magazine, North Carolina Now, tapping into the experience of her own immigrant family in Durham.
