RICK DAVIS is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and international performer and teacher, who, for over 45 years, has played various styles of music ranging from Classical to Folk, Liturgical to Rock and Roll. Rick sees his job as learning the tunes of the "old-timers" from various musical traditions and passing them on. His love of the stories of history and of music have come together for him in the hammered dulcimer to show forth in the playing of that music and the telling of that history from the heart.

Twice Hammered Dulcimer Champion at the prestigious Fiddler's Grove Ole-Time Fiddler's and Bluegrass Festival, Rick and his wife moved to Chattanooga, TN, in 2007 through the ArtsMove program, where he offers hammered dulcimer workshops and at festivals in the US and Ireland. Rick is a founding member of the Chattanooga Celtic band, Ealaíonta. He can also be found playing hammered dulcimer at the weekly Chattanooga Irish Session.

Rick contributed music to the Arts North Carolina "PLANT THE ARTS grow north carolina" video project. In 2004, he released his debut CD, "Of Things To Come...", which includes music from the American Old-Time, Irish, Scottish, Breton and English traditions, as well as a few of his own tunes. He is currently working on a documentary of the hammered dulcimer in Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland, and is researching Old-Time tunes that have connections to Ulster.
