This one-hour documentary examines how North Carolina public schools have been dealing with a new surge of demographic and cultural diversity in the statewide student population. First broadcast on UNC-TV, the program has since been used by a number of middle and high schools to encourage conversations among faculty and students about how to honor and respect the increasing range of cultural and social differences in their classrooms.

Thanks to contributions from the Park Foundation and Teaching Tolerance, a videotape of the program and Teacher Guide were provided to every middle and high school in North Carolina. A Teacher Guide is also available on line.
